February is a month of LOVE! It brings us the celebration of Valentine's Day and also the beginning of Lent.
There were at least three priests who were called Valentine. Over the years Valentine's Day has become a day on which lovers express their love for each other, and send greeting cards, or "valentines". With whom will you express your love on Valentine's Day?
What if we hand delivered 2000 valentines to families in our community? The cards might say: "Jesus loves me (and you) this I know, for the Bible tells me so." Please share in this LOVE any Sunday at Dubbs Memorial UCC.
This is our Christian valentine to YOU!
Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 22.
Our service of ashes will be at 7:30pm, the beginning of our self-examination in preparation for the LOVE event of all time- Christ giving his life for us!

Blessing Service at 10:15 worship. Have we ever had a service like this at Dubbs? Not that we know of. Bring what you are serious about having blessed, Pastor Carl will ask God's blessing upon it.

Sunday, Feb. 12
"Be My Valentine" Luncheon after worship in the Lower Social Hall.
Menu includes baked chicken, potato casserole, green beans, salad, fruit pie and beverage. Tickets available from Jeff Phillips or from the church office.

Lenten Devotional Booklets will be made available - see the Welcome Table in the Friendship Room.
