What's Happening at Dubbs?

Save The Date:

"For He delivers the needy when they call, the poor and those who have no helper"
- Psalm 72:12

Spring Fling
XThanks to everyone who assisted in making our Spring Fling on June 11, a success. Families were very appreciative who bought bags of clothing, shoes and linens. Folks had a bite to eat downstairs in our Lower Social Hall, and some lucky individuals won our raffled door prizes. This year's event realized a profit of $1880.32. Thank you again!

Outreach Projects
XDo you have a favorite blanket? Blankets can provide wrmth and a sense of caring. Contributions to Blankets+ mean Church World Service will be ready to help families around the world recover from disasters and build viable, sustainable lives and communities by providing blankets, food and shelter. Your support for Blankts+ makes it all possible. We will receive the Blankets+ offering on Sunday, September 25. An envelope and insert is provided in this newsletter. Through our offering, we can blanket the world with love.
XAllentown Crop Walk is scheduled for Sunday, October 9, 2011 beginning at 1:30pm , St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, Ott & Walnut Streets in Allentown to benefit the Lehigh County Conference of Churches Soup Kitchen and Allentown Ecumenical Food Bank. If you'd like to join the team and walk or to sponsor Team Dubbs, see Elanor O'Donnell or Jean McGonigle or call the church office.
XWe at Dubbs have not fogotten our troops in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait. On June 19 and 26 after worship and through the mail, members of the Outreach Committee took a special collection for Holy Joe's Cafe - Coffee House Ministry. We are proud to report that $209 has been raised at Dubbs to support this ministry. Remember to keep all our troops in your prayers!
